A Fort Belknap woman pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
Mardell Kay Johnson, 31, entered the plea in U.S. District Court in Great Falls. Johnson faces a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release. She will be sentenced on May 23.
Johnson is the last of five people convicted as a result of a May 20 marijuana buy outside the VFW club in Harlem. Two men Matthew Stiffarm, 22, and Garrett Snell, 21, both of Fort Belknap were convicted on state drug charges in Blaine County in October.
Oscar Villazana, a 28-year-old Texas resident, and Thomas Robert King, 29, of Billings, pleaded guilty to the charge of conspiring to distribute marijuana in early October. Villazana and King will be sentenced in federal court on Feb. 19.
Federal prosecutors issued Johnson a summons in early December. The four men were arrested immediately after an undercover agent purchased two ounces of marijuana from them for $280 on May 20, the FBI said in December. Before their arrest, Villazana and King had stayed at Johnson's residence on the Fort Belknap Reservation for several days, the FBI has said.
Court documents said Johnson introduced the drug dealers to the prospective buyers and used her cell phone to set up the details of the purchase, documents said.
