The Sunburst U.S.A. Baby Contest and Beauty Pageant was in Havre on Feb. 24 at the Holiday Village Shopping Center. Winner and runners-up of the preliminary pageant are eligible for the Northwest Regional finals in Polson on May 31-June 2 at the Kwa-Taq-Nuk Resort. There, they will compete for savings bonds, crowns, trophies and prizes as well as a chance to go to the International Finals in Atlanta, Ga., in August.
Winners are: Boys 1 and under King, Cameron Carlson; Prince, Isaiah Stiffarm. Boys 1 year old King, Kennedy McKay; Prince, Jeremiah Garza. Girls 1 and under Queen, Bryanna Winchell; Princess, Brianna Hawley; Runners-up, IsaBeau Markuson, Kaileigh Carothers and Jayleigh Crawford. Girls 1 year old Queen, Kimberly Irvin; Princess, Jentiel Gray; Runners-up, Aspyn Baney, Lanissa Janis, Claire Shaw and Alissa Nanini.
Girls 2-3 years old Queen, Kyrie Duran; Princess, Brooklyn Huntington; Runners-up, Kambri Bender, Jazzamyn Benson, Shania Patacisil and Jennessa Leatherman. Overall winner of the 4-years-old and under was Baylee Miller. Girls 4-6 years old Queen, Peyton Stevenson and Shania Carlson; Princess, Destiny Martin; Runners-up, Lashauna Janis and Janae Barthel. Girls 14-17 years old Queen, Kirstin Burt. Girls 18-27 years old Queen, Heather Hamilton. Overall winner of the 4- to 27-years-old was Jillian McLain.
