JOHN TURNER, Obituary

KREMLIN John Kenneth Turner, 87, Kremlin, died at his home Thursday, Jan. 3, 2001.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will gather at a later date for a private memorial.

He was born near Sand Coulee on Oct. 14, 1914.

During his lifetime, Turner was a farmer for many years and was an avid hunter most of his life. He also built and operated bowling alleys and built and sold houses. Later, he became a parts man, pilot, salesman and school teacher. He sold aerial photographs for several years. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity, Scottish Rite and the Shrine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Edith Turner; sons, Ivan (Mariana) Turner of Bigfork and Wayne (Jan) of Big Sandy; daughters, Fay (Wes) Wolf of Kalispell, Judy (Dick) Seibert of Zillah, Wash., and Jan (Putte) Kuno of Aransas Pass, Texas; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
