Joseph Mark Lovell, 41, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at his home after a long illness. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Jude's Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert D. Grosch officiating. Internment of the remains will follow at the Calvary Cemetery.
Joe was born April 17, 1960, in Havre to Dr. E.M. and Katharine "Katie" (Atwood) Lovell. He attended schools in Havre, graduating from Havre High School in 1978. After graduation he attended Montana State University in Bozeman. He later transferred to Northern Montana College.
Joe worked for various businesses in Havre. He enjoyed working with computers and assisted at the college in its computer department. He enjoyed reading and spent a lot of time at both the college and public libraries. He liked to fish and play racquet ball.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Dr. E.M. Lovell.
Joe is survived by his mother, Katharine "Katie" Lovell of Havre; two sisters, Katherine "Kathy" Shrauger of Havre and Patty Tilleman and husband, Larry, of Havre; two brothers, Dr. James Lovell and wife, Joan, of San Diego, Calif., and Jeff Lovell and wife, Sun, of El Paso, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials in Joe's honor may be made to the Havre-Hill County Library, 402 Third St., Havre, MT 59501.
