The Montana Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting to discuss total reconstruction of a portion of Secondary Highway 325 located north of Chinook in Blaine County.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. on March 21 and will be held at the Chinook High School, Lloyd Sweet Auditorium, 528 Ohio St. in Chinook.
Proposed improvements include relocating the intersection with U.S. Highway 2, and totally reconstructing approximately 10.4 miles of the roadway. This will include major realignment, asphalt surfacing, widening as necessary, striping and upgrading the road to current safety standards.
The purpose of the public meeting is to present the alternatives for connecting Secondary Highway 325 to U.S. Highway 2 and receive public comments, concerns and opinions regarding the various alternatives.
A second public meeting will be held after preliminary plans are prepared to allow additional public review of the plans and take public comment on the project specifics.
The project will require new right of way.
