SHIRLEY NEUMILLER, Obituary

MINOT, N.D. Shirley Mae "Tweety" Neumiller, 57, Minot, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, in a Minot medical center.

Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in Minot. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan.

Shirley was born April 2, 1944, in rural Deering, N.D., to Frank and Alma (Tandberg) Pierson. She attended school in Deering, then Glenburn High School. She graduated from Glenburn High in 1962.

Shirley was once married to Clyde Pounds. They were married on April 19, 1962. They farmed in the Glenburn area for five years, then moved to Havre. They lived and raised their family in the Havre area. She worked at Woolworth's Department Store, as well as several motels and restaurants.

She married John Neumiller in Havre in February 1990. They moved to Minot in 1993.

Shirley was a former member of the Women of the Moose in Minot. She loved making and creating crafts and attending craft shows. She enjoyed attending Norsk Hostefest and was an avid fan of Myron Floren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Neumiller, who died May 31, 1996; parents, Frank and Alma Pierson; brothers, Robert and Ervin Pierson; sister, Lorraine Matehs.

Survivors include her children, Colleen (Dean) Cooper, Coreen Hart, Misty Jo Neumiller, Van Pounds and David Pierson, all of Minot; brothers, and sisters, Frances Kaeding, Myrtle (Lloyd) Lyson, Hazel Frye and her companion, Clitton Talley, Stanley (Sandy) Pierson, all of Minot, Lawrence Pierson of Houston; three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
