DURANGO, Colo. Patricia Joyce Waterman, 74, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at her home due to a long battle with emphysema.
A memorial service was set for this afternoon at St. Columba Catholic Church. Cremation is planned.
Waterman was born July 13, 1927, in Havre to Floyd and Della Feeder.
She married George E. Waterman on June 1, 1946, in Spokane, Wash. She lived in numerous cities including cities in Europe due to her husband's 27-year career in the U.S. military.
They moved to Durango in 1970 and owned and operated a KOA Campground. They later built, owned and operated Tour Ice which is still a thriving business in Durango.
She loved to travel in their motor home. She also enjoyed ceramics and pottery, bowling, sewing and collecting antiques. She had an extensive collection of Precious Moment figurines.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Della Feeder in 1996; her father, Floyd Feeder; two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, George E. Waterman of Durango; daughter, Charlotte Olsen of Salt Lake City; son, Marcus (Jan) Waterman of Denver; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews.
