The Montana State University-Northern football program has received several letters of intent from future players. They are:
Shayne Dean, Moscow (Idaho) High School, 6 foot 1, 263 pounds, linebacker, defensive end. He was named to the 2002 Shrine All-Star game.
Bill McCormick, Drummond High School, 5 foot 9, 200 pounds, fullback, defensive lineman. He was named to the All-Conference offensive and defensive teams.
Tanner Cochrell, Drummond High School, 5 foot 8, 180 pounds, tailback. He was named to the All-Conference and All-State teams. He rushed for 1,500 yards in his sophomore year, 2,055 in his junior year, and 1,600 yards in his senior year.
Kellen Lake, Drummond High School, 6 foot 2, 240 pounds, strong safety, fullback, defensive lineman, linebacker. He was All-Conference both ways and an All-State defensive end in his only season of high school football.
