Matter signs with Rocky Mountain

Havre senior Jeri Matter is one of few who get the chance to continue to play sports at a collegiate level out of high school.

Tuesday Rocky Mountain College announced that Matter signed an NAIA Division I letter of intent to play basketball for the Bears.

In a press release Matter's new coach talked about what she will bring to the program.

"At 5 foot 11, Jeri has exceptional perimeter skills and has great court vision," head coach Brian Henderson said. "She will be an excellent addition to our program and to our institution."

In her senior year for the Ponies, Matter averaged 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal per game. She was also named to the academic all-state and all conference teams and was selected to play in the Treasure State Classic.

Matter also participates in volleyball and track for Havre High.
