    HELENA — A legislative measure making it illegal to kill an unborn child easily cleared its first committee vote Friday, despite being mired in the abortion debate. Supporters of the bill said it has nothing to do with abortion and noted the bill exempts "lawful procedures" from prosecution.     The MSU-Northern women's basketball team suffered a Frontier Conference road loss at the hands of Montana Tech Friday night in Butte. The Orediggers defeated the Skylights 64-54 in what was a three-point game with six minutes to play. Northern dropped to 0-2 in conference play and 9-9 overall.     All Great Lakes flights in Montana, after March 1, may be cancelled. On Thursday, members of the Essential Air Service board for Montana had a conference call with representatives of the two airlines bidding for the Department of Transportation subsidy, Great Lakes Airlines and Gulfstream Airlines.     The Montana State University-Northern wrestling team had a rough trip to the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals last weekend in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Now, with their final home dual of the season just a week away, the Lights will look to build some momentum in Oregon. Tonight, the Lights get two days of wrestling started with a dual against Clackamas Community College in Clackamas, Ore. Northern will also compete in the Clackamas Open on Saturday.     When the Havre High boys and girls swim teams jump into the pool at the Swarthout Fieldhouse Saturday in Great Falls, the Blue Ponies will certainly know their opponent. On Saturday at 12 p.m., the Ponies are back in Great Falls, where they'll compete against the Great Falls High Bison and CMR Rustlers for a third time this season.     It's been a while, but the Great Falls High Bison finally found a way to upsend the Havre Blue Pony wrestling team. The Ponies lost their annual dual with the Bison 42-36 Thursday in Great Falls. Havre got a huge edge right away as Eli Hinebauch, who just went down to 145 pounds, defeated GFH's top-ranked Class AA 145-pounder Dylan Mendenhall by pin at 5:12.     If it hadn't been for a slow start offensively and for a few untimely fouls, the Havre High girls basketball team may have come away with a win. Thursday night at the Havre High gymnasium the Browning Indians defeated the Blue Ponies 46-40 in Central A play.     Local legislators responding to questions about a proposed law requiring Montana to sue the federal government over health care reform are split on the issue. Sen.
