    The people of Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation have undergone a lot of trauma in recent years. Many prominent residents have been charged with embezzlement and other felonies. With their off-reservation cohorts, they are alleged to have plundered millions of dollars from tribal coffers. Some have already been carted off to prison.   • Amendment sought to limit corporate election donations

    HELENA (AP) — A Democratic lawmaker on Thursday called for Montana to support a convention to amend the U.S. Constitution to limit corporate donations in election campaigns. Rep. Ellie Hill of Missoula introduced House Joint Resolution 3 in the State Administration Committee. Committee members did not take immediate action. "I believe the corporate buyout of our elections is the reason to do it," she said of a Constitutional amendment that calls for free and fair elections. It takes 34 states to trigger a convention.     HELENA (AP) — Montana lawmakers are considering legislation that would remove the words "half breed" and "breed" from the names of creeks and other places around the state. Republican Rep. Nicholas Schwaderer of Superior introduced House Bill 331 in the State Administration Committee Thursday. He says it's the government's duty to remove offensive language from the places they name.     LAUREL (AP) — The main building of a southeastern Montana company that make fiberglass tanks for use in oil fields was destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon, company officials said. Heavy, black smoke rose into the air as firefighters from Billings and Laurel battled the blaze at Fiberglass Structures Inc. in Laurel. There were 20 employees inside when the fire started, and all of them got out safely, plant supervisor Bob Degely told The Billings Gazette (http://bit.ly/1Dj9c6W).     A bill that would allow concealed weapons to be carried on Montana university campuses is going through the motions in the Montana State Legislature. Wednesday, a second reading of the bill passed, 25-24, and the third reading by the Montana Senate will be scheduled soon. If senators pass it, the bill will be sent to the Montana House. If the House approves it, the legislation will go to Gov. Steve Bullock.     The Havre Area Chamber of Commerce recently launched a new website that highlights a variety of things, including community events, businesses and resources in the area. The new site, which was designed by Tom Metcalfe of Eight Design was officially launched in January.     Hi-Line lawmakers gave strong support to legislation that would allow guns on campus. Sen. Kris Hansen, R-Havre, and Jonathan Windy Boy, D-Box Elder, spoke on the Senate floor in favor of the legislation Wednesday. Sen. John Brenden, R-Scobey, was absent but voted by proxy in favor of the proposal. In a preliminary vote, the Senate voted 25-24 for the measure. Sen.
