  • Benefit shoots set for Havre man with cancer

    People will have a chance Sunday to take part in two benefit shoots, one organized by the Havre Trap Club and the other by HR Archery Range and Repair to help a local man recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. “It’s open to the public, everyone is welcome and I’ll even teach people to shoot if they want to learn,” Havre Trap Club President Jim Bachini said.     Deputies have arrested and charged a Havre man accused of stealing $2,900 in fireworks. Daniel Baranyai, 29, of Havre, has been held in the Hill County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond on felony charges of theft and burglary since Thursday. The Hill County Sheriff’s Office received a report July 2 that the Pyromania fireworks stand was burglarized, a sheriff’s office press release says.
