  • Havre man drowns in Fresno Reservoir

    Havre Daily News staff The Hill County Sheriff’s office confirmed today that the body of a 19-year-old Havre man was recovered from Fresno Reservoir after people called 911 Monday at 2:21 p.m. to report a friend had gone under water and had not surfaced. Hill County Search and Rescue divers found the body at 4:32 p.m., the sheriff’s office said in a press release. The name of the victim had not been released this afternoon pending notification of relatives. No foul play is suspected, the release said....

    It looks like a cleanup of the future home of the H. Earl Clack Memorial Museum will soon be approved. Elaine Morse, president of the H. Earl and Margaret Turner Clack Memorial Museum Foundation, said during a meeting of the museum board Monday she will recommend the foundation board approve the cleanup effort.   • New musical event set for Havre Festival Days

    A new musical event being organized for Havre’s annual Festival Days celebration is looking for singers and musicians. Organizers will hold a drawing Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Town Square during the weekly Sounds on the Square Concert for a rock lotto. The names drawn will be used to put together groups that will perform during the city’s Festival Days Celebration.
