Eagles Club Manager Candace Dess said they’re still in need of servers for the dinner as well as delivery drivers for those who can’t come in person. The Hill County Fair Board held its last meeting of the year Tuesday evening, where members talked about ongoing projects on the fairgrounds and next year's Great Northern Fair. Fairgrounds Manger Frank English said they've received bids to rehabilitate the grounds' rental house. Carol Chagnon passed away December 16, 2023, at her home due to natural causes at the age of 86. Carol was born March 11, 1937, in Havre, MT, to Charles and Helen Gould. She was one of seven children. She attended schools in Havre. Carol met and married Paul Chagnon in 1955, and together they had five children.
