High Line Heritage Resources’
Historic Havre Strolls.
The guide is Emily Ann
Mayer, a member of a longtime Havre family. In 2001, she
designed, researched, wrote,
photographed and created a
self-guided walking tour map of
the Havre Residential Historic
District.
There are three strolls of
the Havre Residential Historic District, an Old Downtown
Havre Stroll and a Combination
Historic Homes/Old Down-
town Stroll to choose from. The
strolls are by appointment and
available throughout the year,
weather permitting, except certain holidays; people may call
for details.
Tours for the Historic District and Old Downtown Havre
are $6 for adults and are an
hour long. The Combination
Stroll is $10 for adults and is an
hour-and-a-half long. Children
younger than 10 are free with
accompanying adult on all
tours. Group and school rates
are available.
Regular: The Regular Stroll
encompasses the oldest parts of
the Havre Residential Historic
District.
Eclectic: The Eclectic Stroll
includes homes of many different styles south of the Regular
Stroll.
Bungalow: So named for
the prolific number of this house
style on this stroll.
Old Downtown Havre:
Come and see the interesting
features and learn the exciting
history of the buildings in the
original Old Downtown core.
Combination Historic
Homes/Old Downtown Stroll:
This popular and well-received
stroll showcases the best of
the Havre Residential Historic
District Regular Stroll and Old
Downtown Havre buildings.
