Bridging Business and Community
The Havre Area Chamber of Commerce “Bridging†the community with
The Havre Area Chamber of Commerce annually supports the following organizations upon request:
— Promotes the annual fund drive and the Day of Caring. Boys & Girls Club — Donated $1,000 to the club’s exercise walk on behalf of the 3-on3 Tournament. The Chamber provides newsletter space for the club, and a member of the Chamber staff serves on the Healthy Community, Healthy Youth Action Board. Havre Food Bank — The Chamber’s Leadership High School class helps the Havre Food Bank each holiday season prepare food baskets, and the Chamber’s Ambassadors conduct a food drive in December. Feed My Sheep Food Kitchen — The Chamber’s Leadership Class works at the kitchen during the December community service program, and the Chamber also makes donations to the Kitchen. Great Northern Fair Board — Provides free promotion of the fair through the Chamber’s Web sites and newsletter. Havre Public Schools — Promotes and supports of the schools activities through the Chamber’s Web site and newsletter. Northern Montana Hospital — Promotes events and activities through the community calendar and the Chamber’s newsletter. MSU-Northern — Promotes the events and activities of Northern through the calendar and Web site and participates in many of the events. Havre Job Service — Shares the sponsorship of seminars that provide business education. 4-H — The Chamber’s Agri-Business Committee annually helps with the livestock sale at the fair; the committee also sponsors the Ag Leader of the Year, and the Chamber has provided newsletter space to promote 4-H. Jaycees — The Chamber promotes the many activities of the Jaycees: Toys for Tots, Koats for Kids, Holiday Home Decorating Contest, their Fourth of July ï¬reworks display and haunted house. Optimist — Promotes the Optimists Easter Egg Hunt in the community calendar and the Chambr’s Web site calendar. Rotary — Promotes the Rotary Father’s Day Fishing Derby in the community calendar and the Chamber’s Web site calendar. Lions Club — Promotes Lions Club activities in our the community calendar and the Chamber’s Web site calendar. Kiwanis Club — Helps promote the Festival Days Pancake Feed in all promotional materials and any other events on the calendar.
