NorthWestern Energy will be shutting down the electricity to the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation Tuesday morning for maintenance.
According to a press release from the company, the power will be out from 9 to 11 a. m., while they change out a transformer.
“This outage is part of area upgrades in electrical service where we will be changing out a portable transformer in the Fort Belknap substation for a new transformer that needs to be connected to the system, ” the release says.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our customers in this area. NorthWestern Energy encourages those customers with special medical needs to have a back-up plan for this day if needed. If you are aware of any of your neighbors that could be in need, please make contact with them. ”
