Laurel — Festival Days 2012 was a success. It seems every year there are more and better activities. Thanks to everyone involved, from Havre Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Debbie Vandeberg to the volunteers to the softball players who played their hearts out around the clock.
Dart — A federal appeals court has struck down a Montana rule that barred political parties from making endorsements in Montana Supreme Court races. Laurel — Fort Belknap firefighters did a great job last weekend of containing a massive fire that consumed a land area 15 times the size of Havre. But no one was injured and no homes or structures were lost because of the firefighters’ work.
Laurel — Tom and Marilyn Jurenka were honored with the Ag Producers Leader Award, while former Extension Agent Joe Broesder was honored as this year's Ag Advocate, at the Ag Appreciation Dinner. They are the best in a great industry that fuels Hill County. Congrats.
