The NAIA Game of the Week lived up to its billing. And it caused a major shake-up in the NAIA Coaches Poll and the Frontier Conference standings.

Southern Oregon’s dramatic 52-49 win over Carroll College last Saturday in Ashland, Ore., catapulted the Red Raiders up the new poll, while it left Carroll in a precarious position.

In the new NAIA Top 25, SOU moved up five spots to No. 14, and the Raiders are now in second place in the Frontier. Meanwhile, Carroll fell 10 spots to No. 16 with its third loss of the season. Montana Tech moved up one spot to No. 7 after its win over Montana State University-Northern Saturday in Butte.

Despite the loss by three at SOU, Carroll junior quarterback Dakota Stonehouse was named Frontier Offensive Player of the Week. Stonehouse was 19-of-33 passing for 248 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 206 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries. SOU linebacker Kalii Robinson received the defensive award for the second straight week. Against the Saints, he had seven solo tackles, six assisted tackles and two tackles for loss. Western kicker Mackenzie Crossley earned the special teams honor after he kicked a game-winning field goal against Rocky Mountain College.

Northern linebacker Jordan Van Voast and kicker Trevor Baum were nominated this week.

Montana Tech’s Korey Krumm was named Frontier Volleyball Player of the Week. MSU-N’s Hillary Isleifson was also nominated for that award.
