Saturday, May 28

Annual Spring Opener Poker Run, hosted by the Eagle Riders as fundraiser for the Montana Wounded Warriors program, will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. at the Havre Eagles Club. Cost is $25 and participants will drive a loop from Havre to Fort Benton, Chester and back, with stops along the way. Cash prizes will be paid for first and second places and lowest poker hand. Breakfast will be served, for a free-will donation, during registration.

Montana Wounded Warriors evening fundraiser, hosted by Eagle Riders at the Eagles Club, will have a dinner, with a silent auction, starting at 5:30 p.m. and a street dance from 8 p.m. to midnight. Cost of the dinner is $7 per plate and the dance $3.

Bullhook Bottoms Black Powder Club 37th Annual Spring Shoot will be held at Fort Assinniboine southwest of Havre. Events will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors are welcome.

Hill County 4-H raffle tickets for a 2015 Flex Travel Trailer, donated by Western Trailer Sales, will be sold at Spencer's Hi-Way Bar this day. Funds raised will go toward the new Hill County 4-H Chuckwagon.

Lewistown chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI, President Jeannie Walter will speak at 2 p.m. about the warning signs of suicide at the meeting room at Havre-Hill County Library.

The Havre Community Pool will be closed this day in honor of the Memorial Day holiday. For more information, call 265-8161.

Bullhook Bottoms Black Powder Club 37th Annual Spring Shoot will be held at Fort Assinniboine southwest of Havre. Events will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors are welcome.

Hill County 4-H raffle tickets for a 2015 Flex Travel Trailer, donated by Western Trailer Sales, will be sold at Red's Auto through June 3. Funds raised will go toward the new Hill County 4-H Chuckwagon.

NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the basement at 921 3rd St. For more information, call Crystal at 406-879-6646.

Wednesday, June 1

The alternative voting office at the Jon Morsette Vo-Tech at Stone Child College on Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation will be open to serve any Hill County resident from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for late registration and absentee voting.

Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. The event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Thursday, June 2

Alzheimer's Support Group will meet at 2 p.m. in Chinook at the Grand Villa Retirement Apartments, 315 Pennsylvania, in the Activities Room. For more information, call Sherry Edwards at 357-4174.

"Equivocation," a Montana Actors' Theatre production, will be showing at 8 p.m. in MSU-Northern's Little Theatre with doors and backstage lounge opening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 adults, $10 students, seniors and military, and free for MSU-N students with an ID.

Lego Time and Robotics will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 265-2123.

Friday, June 3

"Equivocation," a Montana Actors' Theatre production, will be showing at 8 p.m. in MSU-Northern's Little Theatre with doors and backstage lounge opening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 adults, $10 students, seniors and military, and free for MSU-N students with an ID.

Pachyderm Club will meet at noon at the Duck Inn Vineyard Room. The speaker will be Diane McLean, Republican candidate for Hill County commissioner. The public is welcome to attend this no-host luncheon.

Saturday, June 4

Living History Day will be held at museums around Havre, as well as at the Everything Antique Show at the Great Northern Fairgrounds.

Air Fair 2016 fly-in breakfast will start at 7:30 a.m. at Havre City-County Airport and go to about noon. Admittance is free, and breakfast is $X per person. Weather permitting, children fitting height and age requirement will get a free plane ride. Organizers recommend coming in the first part of the morning for flights.

The 2016 Tennis Lesson Program with the Parks and Recreation Department will begin its first session this day. It runs June 6-24. Lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced will be offered. For more information. call 265-5781 or 265-8161.

The Havre Community Pool’s swim lesson program will begin this day. Four sessions of two-week group lessons will be offered, for children age 3 and up. For more information, call 265-8161.

The Pepin Park Program will begin this day. The program for elementary school-aged children is held in Pepin Park Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to noon for games and activities, and 1 to 3 p.m. for crafts and special events. For more information, call 265-5781 or 8161.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.
