Tuesday, March 3

Tax aides will be helping seniors and people with low income with tax returns and other year-end tax matters 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays until April 15. To make an appointment and find out what information to bring, call North Central Senior Center at 265-5464.

The Hi-Line Quilt Guild meets the first Tuesday of the month at the Holiday Village Mall Community Center at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, March 4

The Family Project, a 12-week study on family-related topics, begins at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 625 4th Ave. The classes include a free dinner and separate classes for younger family members. For more information, call 265-6865.

Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This week's theme honors Dr. Seus' birthday with stories and a craft. The event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Tunes at Noon in the lower level of the Atrium Mall will feature live music presented by Mary Stevens.

Havre Ice Dome Open Skate is set for 5:45 to 7 p.m. Cost is $4, and rentals are available for $4.

Thursday, March 5

"Fun"draiser for RezQ Dogs at Pizza Hut will be running all day. RezQ Dogs is a nonprofit animal rescue serving the Hi-Line. Mention the fundraiser or RezQ Dogs when paying for your meal, and Pizza Hut will donate 20 percent of the receipt price to the rescue. For more information, go online to rezqdogs.org.

Fort Assiniboine Genealogy Society will meet at 7 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Family History Center, located at 13th Street West and Washington Avenue. The topic of discussion will be military records.  Anyone interested is welcome.

“Grease,” a Montana Actors’ Theatre production, will begin at 8 p.m. at MSU-Northern's Little Theatre, with the doors and backstage lounge opening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors and free for Northern students with a valid ID. Tickets are available at Angie's Wildflowers and The Computer Center in Havre; Gretchen's Getaway in Chinook; online at http://www.mtactors.com; and at the door.

Winter Reading Series at Havre-Hill County Library wraps up with book discussion with "4th of July Creek" by Smith Henderson and led by Will Rawn. Discussion begins at 7 p.m.

Lego Time will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 265-2123.

Friday, March 6

“Grease,” a Montana Actors’ Theatre production, will begin at 8 p.m. at MSU-Northern's Little Theatre, with the doors and backstage lounge opening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors and free for Northern students with a valid ID. Tickets are available at Angie's Wildflowers and The Computer Center in Havre; Gretchen's Getaway in Chinook; online at http://www.mtactors.com; and at the door.

Pachyderm Club will meet at the Duck Inn Vineyard Room at noon for a no-host luncheon. Guest speaker will be Darrin Boss, superintendent of Northern Ag Research Center. Everyone is welcome.

Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry will be at St. Jude Parish Center from 5 to 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 7

“Grease,” a Montana Actors’ Theatre production, gala event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at MSU-Northern's Little Theatre. Price is $30 each and includes a dinner of burger, fries, milkshakes and a ticket to the performance. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. Regular show tickets will be offered at the door.

Sunday, March 8

Havre Ice Dome Open Skate is set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $4, and rentals are available for $4.

Don't you have the Bullnanzacoming to your area soon? Sure can't find any info. on it and Havre/Hill County has a lot of cowboys.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
