Marian (Nault) Olson

Marian Louise Olson, 75, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes. Cremation has taken place, and her memorial service will be 11 a. m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at First Lutheran Church, with Pastor Michael O'Hearn officiating.

A private family burial will be held in the spring. Memorial contributions in Marian's honor may be made to the Havre Senior Center Council on Aging, 2 W. 2nd St., Havre, MT 59501. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Marian was born Jan. 3, 1937, in Havre, to Roy and Lydia (Stolz) Nault.

She was raised and educated in Havre. She married James F. Olson on May 15, 1955, at First Lutheran Church.

Together they made their home in Havre and raised their family. Marian worked as the Hill County assessor for 15 years. She retired in January 1997. After retiring, Marian and James traveled to Yuma, Ariz., in the winters. James passed in 1999, and Marian continued traveling south to Yuma.

She enjoyed playing cards, pool, bowling and traveling. She enjoyed her family, her grandchildren and loved family gatherings. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, David; and her husband, James.

Marian is survived by her children, daughters, Mary (Dale) Naber of Havre, Jodi (Bob) Warneke of Great Falls, Mont., and sons, Alan (Jean) Olson of Roundup, Mont., Rick Olson of Kennewick, Wash., and Kevin (Pam) Olson of Helena, Mont. ; her 12 grandchildren, Matthew (Becca) Olson, Erika (Adam) Stanley, Kristen Olson, Sara Olson, David Olson, Thomas Olson, Terra (Aaron) Davey, Karissa Olson (Jon Hammond), Joe (Mandy) Naber; Stacy (Danny) McIntosh; Alex Warneke and Zach Warneke; 11 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Robert (Ronni) Nault and Dick (Mary) Nault, all of Havre.
