Girls B-C tennis teams to invade Havre this weekend

Once again, the Bill Vaughey Memorial Tennis Courts in Havre will be the sight of some intense tennis action.

Friday-Saturday, Havre will host the Northern B-C Girls Divisional Tennis Tourmament, with coveted berths in next week's B-C state tourney on the line.

The Northern B-C features defending champion Chinook, as well as Chester/J-I, Fort benton and Big Sandy. The Sugarbeeters are the favorite to repeat as divisional champions, as they are strong in both singles and doubles. But individuals from C/J-I and Fort Benton will also stand out as well.

But Chinook will be the deepest team in the field. The Beeters are looking to make another run at a state title this season.

The B-C tourney, which begins Friday morning, will have six singles spots and four doubles spots into the state meet on the line.

The tournament wiill wrap up Saturday afternoon. The Class B-C state tournament will run next Thursday-Saturday in Missoula.
