Rita E. Eagleman

Rita E. Eagleman, 63, of Rocky Boy, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013, at Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes. Wake services will begin at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2013, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy. Burial will follow in the Eagleman Cemetery. Rita E. Eagleman

Rita was born on Aug. 14, 1949, in Havre, to Edward R. and Elizabeth (Sandine) Berger. She was raised in Havre, attending school here. She married Galen Eagleman in 1965, and their union was blessed with four children. The couple raised their children at Rocky Boy, instilling in them pride in their heritage. Rita worked at Headstart in Rocky Boy for a time. Rita was a loving wife and mother, who enjoyed listening to music and her shows (soaps and Lifetime), playing Bingo, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Elizabeth Berger; her sister, Geraldine Berger; her brothers, Loren Berger, Clifford Berger and Edward Berger; and one great-grandson, Ronald Eagleman Jr.

She is survived by Galen Eageleman, her husband of 48 years; her daughters, Gail (John Mitchell) Eagleman of Havre, Melissa (Victor Morsette) Eagleman of Rocky Boy, Gerry Eagleman of Havre, and Rebecca Eagleman of Great Falls; her sons, Ronald Eagleman and Wayne (Christine) Eagleman, all of Rocky Boy; her 12 grandchildren; her 15 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Sandy Berger of Havre, Lauretta Azure of Chinook, Helen and Shirley Gardipee, both of Butte, and Bonnie (John) Doney and Betty DeCells, all of Havre; her brothers, Larry Berger of Butte and Ronald Berger and Bob Berger, both of Havre; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
