Havre Police Department

Officers were called to a 1st Street West business at 7:51 a.m. Wednesday to provide assistance and arrested a 34-year-old Kalispell man on a Justice or City court warrant.

Officers investigated a two-vehicle crash on 4th avenue Wednesday at 9:54 a.m.

Officers investigated suspicious activity reported Wednesday at 10:26 a.m. at Northern Montana Hospital.

During a motor vehicle stop on Boulevard Avenue Wednesday at 12:07 p.m., an officer arrested a 22-year-old Havre woman for driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license.

Officers investigated a report of four slashed vehicle tires at a 2nd Street location Wednesday at 1:25 p.m.

After receiving a complaint of a man not leaving a 1st Street West establishment at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday, officers arrested a 61-year-old Havre man for criminal contempt, disorderly conduct and open container.

Officers investigated a violation of a protection order reported Wednesday at 7:51 p.m. from Jefferson Avenue.

Officers investigated a report made Wednesday at 8:28 p.m. that an ex-girlfriend had entered a 2nd Street West residence and broke things.

A caller at a 1st Street business reported a shoplifter at 10:33 p.m. Wednesday, and responding officers made two arrests, but no further details were provided.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Wednesday at 10:36 a.m. deputies investigated a report of stolen items from a U.S. Highway 2 Northeast business.

Deputies investigated a report made Wednesday at 12:53 p.m. that someone had crashed into a Box Elder establishment's fence.

Deputies were called to Rocky Boy Tribal Court Wednesday at 1:35 p.m. to escort a detainee to Hill County Detention Center, and they arrested the 25-year-old Box Elder man on a state District Court warrant.

Havre Fire Department

A fire crew was called today at 2:19 a.m. to the 9000 Block of U.S. Highway 2 East where a backhoe, used earlier in the day for dirt work around a culvert, had caught fire. Fire Chief Dave Sheppard said the equipment was totaled, but the fire did not cause any injuries, damage any structures or spread. The fire is believed to have started from a short circuit in the battery.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held a female black and white Labrador-mix puppy and a male black and tan cat.
