County health assessment forum set for Thursday

Thursday county residents have the opportunity to tell the health care community what they think of Hill County’s health, and what the priorities should be in improving health of people in the county.

The Hill County Health Improvement Plan meeting is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the conference rooms on the third floor of Northern Montana Hospital.

The main topics will be a review of the 2013 Hill County Community Health Needs Assessment Report and the Early Childhood Investment Team 2012 Community Needs Assessment available online at the Northern Montana Health Care website at http://www.nmhcare.org/?id=950, and identifying the top three priorities to be addressed in a health improvement plan for the county.

Once those priorities are identified, the next step will be to identify specific objectives or actions to take over the next three years to meet the local need and identifying ways to measure the impact of actions the community takes.

People who plan to attend the meeting are asked to review the health assessment report and the Early Childhood Investment Team report.

The meeting is sponsored by Northern Montana Health Care, the Hill County Health Department and Bullhook Community Health Center.
