Havre Police Department

Officers performed traffic control after a caller from a 12th Avenue location reported at 8:13 a.m. Thursday that “high school traffic was driving crazy.”

Officers responding to a call from a 5th Avenue location at 11:35 a.m. Thursday in which the caller wanted to talk to animal control about “dog poo” issued a warning.

Officers investigated a report made at 12:48 p.m. Thursday from a 1st Avenue location that someone had broken into the caller’s house.

———

Officers responding to a call made at 3:18 p.m. Thursday from a 2nd Street location arrested a 54-year-old Havre man on charges of criminal contempt and possession of drug paraphernalia.

———

Officers investigated a call made at 4:12 p.m. Thursday from a 4th Avenue location in which the caller reported that someone stole a gray mountain bike with a black seat and black lettering.

Officers responding to a call at 5:04 p.m. Thursday from the 300 Block of 6th Avenue in which the caller said three men wearing no shirts were fighting and one was bleeding issued a summons, but no further information was available in the police report.

———

Officers investigated a report made at 9:22 p.m. Thursday that people were fighting in the alley behind a business on the 700 Block of 2nd Street.

Officers investigated a report of a hit and run made from 12th Avenue and arrested a 19-year-old Havre man on charges of driving under the influence, obstructing a peace officer or public servant, resisting arrest, minor in possession and careless driving.

Officers responding to a call from a 1st Street hotel at 2:47 this morning in which the caller arrested just being beaten up arrested a 30-year-old West Valley, Utah, man on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

A deputy at 3:13 p.m. Thursday served a Justice/City Court traffic warrant on a 39-year-old Browning man at the Hill County jail.

A caller at 5:31 p.m. Thursday from 5th Street North reported a child on a bicycle had been hit by a car. The sheriff’s office this morning reported the child did not appear to be seriously injured and Havre emergency medical technicians responded but did not transport the child to the hospital.

Deputies at 7:19 p.m. Thursday responded to a call from U.S. Highway 87 in which the caller reported a white Toyota speeding and weaving in and out of traffic and crossing both lines, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

———

A deputy making a motor vehicle stop at 15th Street West between Boulevard and Lincoln avenues arrested a 20-year-old Havre man on charges of probation violation, violating conditions of release and criminal contempt.

———

A deputy, while serving a warrant, charged a 24-year-old inmate of the Hill County jail from Sandy, Utah, with assault with a bodily fluid.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Thursday.
