Havre pride on display at Parade

Thousands of people lined 5th Avenue Saturday for the annual Festival Days parade.

The parade was the highlight of events that took place across the community this weekend.

“I thought it was a great parade,” said Debbie Vandeberg, the executive director of the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce.

“I thank everyone who took the time to make a float and all of those who came out to watch.”

The winners of the parade were:

• Northern Montana Hospital for the category of best commercial float.

• First Lutheran Church for the category of best noncommercial float.

• Havre Day Activity won the mayor’s choice category.

The floats were judged by Chamber volunteers, except for the mayor’s choice category, which was chosen by Mayor Tim Solomon.
