Martha Stocker, Havre Volleyball

With two homes wins over the weekend, the Havre High volleyball team is on the right track. And middle blocker Martha Stocker certainly helped put the Blue Ponies there. Stocker, a senior, averaged six kills and three blocks in Havre’s wins over Conrad and Browning this weekend. Against the Cowgirls, Stocker totaled seven kills and 4.5 stuff blocks as the Ponies won in five dramatic sets.

Stocker is also a standout thrower for the HHS track and field team in the spring.

Elijah David, Havre Cross Country

Just racing on the home course in Havre is a good day for all Blue Pony cross country runners. But Havre junior Elijah David made it an even better day with his time. David finished eighth Saturday at the Havre Invitational, turning in a time of 17.22 on the difficult MSU-Northern course.

David, in only his second year in the sport, has become one of Havre’s top runners, and he paced the Ponies to a third-place finish in Saturday's race, a race in which David and his teammates had a strong pack time.
