MSU-N's Nicholas earns Frontier honors

Lights host Maroon/Gold Dual tonight

For the third time this season, Montana State University-Northern's Abby Nicholas has been touted by the Frontier Conference.

Nicholas, a senior from Sandy, Utah was named Frontier Conference Volleyball Player of the Week on Monday. Northern won two matches on the road over the weekend, beating the University of Great Falls 3-0 and Lewis-Clark State 3-1.

Nicholas averaged 6.43 kills with a hitting percentage of .365. She also averaged 3.71 digs and 0.57 solo blocks. In the win over Lewis-Clark, she had 30 kills and 17 digs.

The Skylights, who are 10-0 in the Frontier Conference, have earned Frontier Player of the week honors five times this season.

Meanwhile, the MSU-Northern wrestling team will finally take to the mat tonight at the Armory Gymnasium. The Lights will hold their annual Maroon/Gold Dual starting at 7. The dual was originally set to be held last Thursday. The Lights travel to North Idaho College Saturday.
