Fossil Festival organizational meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Box Cars. Anyone interested in helping with the Labor Day weekend event is encouraged to attend. For more information, call Margie at 265-7721.

Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This week's theme and craft celebrate Mothers Day The event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Thursday, May 7

Peggy Thune fundraiser at Pizza Hut will be all day with proceeds going toward medical expenses related to Peggy's cancer treatments. Customers just need to say that they are donating to the fundraiser and 20 percent of the receipt amount will be donated.

The Havre Middle School Bands and Jazz Bands will present their “POPS” Concert at 7 p.m. in the Middle School Assembly Room.  There is no charge for the concert, and everyone is welcome.

Coffee with CASA will be at Holiday Village Mall outside The Press from 1 to 5 p.m. People can learn more about CASA and its role in protecting the community's children.

Monday, May 11

CASA Orientation will be in the HRDC Conference Room at

6 p.m. People interested in volunteering to help the children can learn more about CASA and how to become a CASA volunteer by joining the program's new FLEX Pre-Service Training class.

Davey Elementary School Board meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the school.

The North Central Hangar of the Montana Pilots Association will hold its monthly meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. in the terminal at the Havre City-County Airport.

Friends of Beaver Creek Park monthly meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church.

Tuesday, May 12

Parents and guardians of Native American children in Havre Public Schools will meet at Robins School Administration Building in the Banner Room from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to review the federal Title VII grant for school year 2015-2016.

Wednesday, May 13

Dancing at the North Central Senior Center at 2 2nd St. W. begins at 7 p.m.

The Library Spring Film Series will be showing "Annie" at 7 p.m. in the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free and open to the public.

Friday, May 15

"The Lieutenant of Inishmore," a Montana Actors' Theatre dark comedy production, will be showing at 8 p.m. Doors and Backstage Lounge open at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors and free for MSU-Northern students with a current ID.

Pachyderm Club will meet at noon at the Duck Inn Vineyard Room for a no-host lunch. Guest Speaker is Julie Anderson of the Department of Health and Human Services Adult protective Service speaking about elder financial abuse. The public is welcome.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.
