Local Bowling Report: Havre's Dave Wolf rolls the magical 300 game

Ten Pin Chatter

In the Monday Night Straightaway League, Dave Wolf shot the second 300-game of the season. Dave, who is one of Havre’s long-time bowlers, accomplished the feat on his second game of a four game set. He shot games of 237, 300, 192, 268 for a 997 set. He is currently holding a 209 average, bowling in two leagues. I was told by him that every shot was in the 1-3 pocket. Congratulations Dave, from Hi-Line Lanes. He will receive a 300 ring from U.S.B.C. and a plaque from the Montana Bowling Proprietors Association.

One highlight of the week saw 25 PeeWee Bowlers take to the lanes Sunday afternoon, ranging from age 5 and younger. The league is run by Marcia Lynnes. Parents may still sign up their children for that league.

Coaches are still needed to work with the older kids. Anyone wanting to help can call the lanes at 265-5885.

Anyone wanting to bowl on New Year’s Eve should get their spots early as they are going fast. You must be 21 to participate, no exceptions.
