Geraldine 'Jere' L. Briere

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell, Minn., for Geraldine "Jere" Briere, 60, who passed away Monday, Dec. 9, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn. The Rev. Timothy Baltes will officiate, and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Monday at the church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids, Minn.

Jere was born Jan. 15, 1953, in St. Cloud, Minn., to Frank and Betty (Grams) Bautch. She married David Briere at St. Jude Thaddeus Church in Havre, Mont. Jere was the office manager at Northern Natural Gas for many years. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Jere enjoyed cooking, entertaining, gardening, flowers, all animals-especially cats and dogs, the color pink, attending local cultural activities, and volunteering at the dialysis center. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, kindness and ability to make friends easily.

Survivors include her sons and daughter, Benjamin (Wendy) Briere of Harlem, Mont., Jeffery Briere of Havre, Mont., and Deanne Briere of Havre, Mont .; brother, Larry (Joyce Haviland) Bautch of St. Cloud, Minn .; nephew, Logan (Kate) Bautch of St. Louis Park, Minn., niece, Kierstin (James) Mann of Sartell, Minn .; and grandchildren, Austin, Ryanne, Raelynne, Rooney and Makenzie.

Jere was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, David.

I will always remember your camelbacks Jere. I'm sure David is glad to have you back so he can enjoy your delicious cooking...and God says...now...that's what heaven tastes like! :) You were always so kind to me. I know you are both looking down on Jeff and so proud of him for chasing his dream to help animals. I will always have a special place in my heart for Jeff and his family.
