Havre Police Department

Officers issued a summons after responding to an 8:18 a.m. Wednesday call from a 1st Street business about a man riding a bicycle on 1st Street who tried to pass a check on a deceased man’s account.

A two-vehicle crash was investigated after officers received a 12:34 p.m. Wednesday call from 5th Avenue.

Officers investigated a vehicular hit-and-run after responding to a 2:54 p.m. Wednesday call from Washington Avenue.

———

Officers investigated a 5:33 p.m. Wednesday call from a 1st Street business about a counterfeit $50 bill.

Robert John Barton, 30, of Turner, Oregon, was arrested on charges of obstructing a peace officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after officers responded to a 5:34 p.m. Wednesday call from the Amtrak Station.

Officers investigated a 9:55 p.m. Wednesday call from 10th Avenue about a woman having mental issues.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Thomas Knife, 31, of Box Elder, was served an outstanding Justice or City court warrant at 12:21 p.m. Wednesday at the Hill County Detention Center.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Wednesday.

Animal Shelter

A black and white male border collie puppy was placed in the shelter Nov. 19.
