Warning: Dangerous cold wind chill

Tmeopratures could reach minus 19 with 19 mph winds

A wind chill warning is in effect for Havre and Chinook through Monday morning.

Wind chills could range between minus 30 and minus 50 degrees for the next two days, the National Weather Service warns.

Under those conditions, frostbite can occur within 10 minutes of exposed skin, the weather service said.

People headed outside should be prepared for "dangerously cold conditions," the warning reads.

The Weather Channel predicts that the actual temperature will be minus 19 degrees tonight, with winds from the Northeast at 19 mph. There is a chance of snow flurries early in the evening Saturday.

If any events are cancelled because of the snow, please let the Havre Daily News know so we can pass it along to our readers.
