Entries for Chippewa Cree Tribe Youth Rodeo can be made from 6 to 9 p.m. by calling 395-4886, or via email at ccrakidsrodeo@yahoo.com or Facebook through Tessie LaMere. The rodeo is Aug. 3, starting at 2 p.m. at the Sybil Sangrey-Colliflower Memorial Arena in Box Elder.

Summer Reading Program's last day to submit final reading minutes to Havre-Hill County Library is this day.

Tuesday, July 26

Hill County Democratic Party will be sponsoring a public lands-themed dinner party at Eagles Campground in Beaver Creek Park, serving burgers and drinks from 6 to 7 p.m. People are encouraged to bring side dishes. Guest speakers will address the gathering after the dinner. The event is free and open to the public.

Bullhook Blossoms Garden Club will meet at Norma Ralph's home at 2 p.m. After a short business meeting, Norma Ralph will do a flower demonstration. Refreshments will be served, hosted by Minnie McCann. For more information, call 265-2133.

Kicks @ 6 with Sax Cadillac & the Other Brothers and Sistas will perform at Pepin Park at 6 p.m. The public is invited to the concert. Any donations will go to involve children with special needs in music. This week's theme is British Invasion — British Rock of the '60s.

NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the basement at 921 3rd St. For more information, call Crystal at 406-879-6646.

Wednesday, July 27

Summer Reading Program's Usborne Book Fair will be at Havre-Hill County Library 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This event is free and open to everyone.

Sounds on the Square will be 6 to 8 p.m. in Town Square. Featured band will be Swamp Goat. The public is invited to come listen to the music at this free event.

Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. The event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Thursday, July 28

Outdoor Movie Night, sponsored by Northern Alumni Foundation, will be showing "E.T." at 9:30 p.m. at the Pershing Hall courtyard.

"Band Geeks," a Montana Actors' Theatre youth production, will be showing at 8 p.m. at MSU-Northern's Little Theatre in Cowan Hall. Doors and Backstage Lounge will open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students, seniors and military, and free for Northern students with a valid ID.

Dancing at the North Central Senior Center at 2 2nd St. W. begins at 7 p.m.

Lego Time and Robotics will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 265-2123.

Monday, Aug. 1

“UFO’s and Extraterrestrials in Montana,” a Humanities Montana presentation by Joan Bird about Montana's well-documented UFO reports in the history of UFOlogy, will begin at 6 p.m. at Best Western Havre Inn and Suites Montana Room. The audience will be invited to share their own stories. This program is free and open to the public.

British Soccer Camps, hosted by Hi-Line United, start this day and run through Aug. 15. This is a skills-building camp for ages 3-19, with age groups of 3-4, 4-6, 6-12 and 13-19. Participants can preregister or register the first morning. Tuesday, Aug. 2

National Night Out will be at the MSU-Northern SUB Drive 6 to 8 p.m. The public is invited for free food and an opportunity to visit with local law enforcement, fire department personnel, and search and rescue. The event will also have raffles for a gun and a bike.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.
