Thursday, April 17

Friends of the Havre-Hill County Library will meet at noon in the library meeting room. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information, call 265-2123.

Havre-Hill County Library Board of Trustees will meet at 3 p.m. at the library meeting room.

Saturday, April 19

Kids Day at the Atrium Mall offers kids the opportunity to make pipe cleaner flowers from 1 to 4 p.m. in the lower level.

Tuesday, April 22

The MSU-Northern Chancellor’s Lecture Series presents world-class violinist Jack Glatzer at 7:30 p.m. in the Hensler Auditorium at MSU-Northern, performing a solo violin recital with informal and intimate commentary, linking music to art, history and social studies. While in Havre, Glatzer will also be involved in community outreach programs. The public is invited. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.

Havre Wrestling Club will be conducting their annual meeting at the Mat Corner at 6 p.m. for election of officers for the 2014-15 season.

Wednesday, April 23

Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. The event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Dancing at the North Central Senior Center at 2 2nd St. W. begins at 7 p.m.

Recycle Drive and E-Waste Collection will be accepting recyclable paper-based, metal, glass, plastic and electronic products from 8 a.m. to noon at Pacific Steel and Recycling the third Saturday of every month. NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, will meet at the Havre-Hill County Library at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call Cindy at 265-6409.

Special Olympics will begin at 9 a.m. at Havre Middle School.

A teen and young adult book club, for readers 12 and older, will be meeting at Havre-Hill County Library at 4 p.m. to discuss the novel "The Book Thief" and watch the movie based on the book. The books are available for check out at the library. For more information, call Lori at 265-2123.

Citywide Dodgeball Tournament, sponsored by Fifth Avenue Christian Church, will start at 10 a.m. at MSU-Northern's Armory Gym. Youth division prize is $100 and adult division $200. Registration fee is $25 for six-person teams. For more information, call Patrick at 265-7337.

North Central Senior Center spring fundraiser Bazaar & Rummage Sale with a cinnamon roll sale will be 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pulled pork sandwiches and coleslaw and pie and ice cream sales will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Don't you have the Bullnanzacoming to your area soon? Sure can't find any info. on it and Havre/Hill County has a lot of cowboys.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
