George Darrell Comes At Night, also known as "Bud" Many Coos by his friends and family, was born March 18, 1949, in Fort Belknap, Mont.

Darrell (Bud) was born to Sylvia Burnt Hand and George Comes At Night. His Indian Name, given to him by his grandfather Burnt Hand, was Chafe Goo Mabee, meaning "Blackfoot Boy." As a boy, Moses Many Coos raised him as his own where he grew up in the Lodge Pole and Reservoir Community. Later in his teens, he moved to the Havre and Rocky Boy communities.

Darrell (Bud) eventually left Montana. During his travels, he met Freda Allen, whom he later married, and moved to Lapwai, Idaho, on the Nez Perce Reservation. He attended Lewis and Clark State College where he received an associate's degree.  He worked for the Lapwai School District for many years as a teaching assistant and school bus driver.  He was a counselor and bus driver in Moscow, Idaho, on the University of Idaho campus, for the Upward Bound Program for a few years. To his students and friends, he was known as "Mr. Night." This was a very enjoyable time in his life. He loved music, powwows, rodeos, traveling, gambling and the company of the many friends he made along the way.  Later on, what he loved most was spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Burnt Hand; and father, George Comes At Night; brothers, Hank Chopwood, Ronnie Weaselboy, Douglas Weaselboy and Gordon Comes At Night; sisters, Shirleen Comes At Night, Evelyn No Runner and Karen King.

He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn (Darcy Azure) Comes At Night of Havre; brother, Willis "Jinx" (Valerie) Chopwood of Lodge Pole; granddaughters, Melina Leo, Cuarissa Taylor, Iyana Azure, and grandson. Devyn Azure all of Havre; nieces, Tina Phillips and Valerie Zander, and Elaine Small of Havre who he considered a second mom.
