Wednesday, Aug. 31

Havre Middle School sports will begin sixth- through eighth-grade cross country, and seventh and eighth cheerleading will begin right after school.

Havre Trap Club Fall League begins at 5 p.m. at the trap club, off Fifth Avenue, south of Havre. League runs Wednesdays and Sundays through Sept. 28. For more information, call Doug Erhard, 265-2924 or 390-2924, or Jim Bachini 265-2485 or 262-3739.

Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. The event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Thursday, Sept. 1

Friends of the Havre-Hill County Library meeting will be at noon in the library meeting room. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information, call 265-2123.

Lego Time and Robotics will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 265-2123.

Saturday, Sept. 3

Saturday Market will be 8 a.m. to noon at Town Square.

Monday, Sept. 5

MSU-Northern Community Choir will practice in Room 208 in Pershing Hall on Northern’s campus 7 to 9 p.m. Community members who are thinking of joining are welcome to attend.

North Central Montana Transit buses will not run this day in observance of Labor Day. The buses will resume their normal schedules Tuesday.

District 4 HRDC will be closed for Labor Day. It will resume regularly scheduled business hours Tuesday.

Tuesday, Sept. 6

The MSU-Northern Community Orchestra will have its first rehearsal of this season at 7 p.m. in the music room of Pershing Hall on the Northern campus. The ensemble will meet weekly 7 to 9 p.m. for rehearsals, and will perform in concert mid-November. Anyone in the community interested in playing in the orchestra is welcome. For more information, contact Rhonda Minnick at 265-5987 or Sharon Dolph at 390-4562.

The Hi-Line Quilt Guild meets the first Tuesday of the month at the Holiday Village Mall Community Center at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 10

Eagle Scout Project Fundraiser Horseshoe Tournament begins at the community horse shoe pits next to the Tip It in North Havre with registration at 10 a.m ., and play starts at 11 a.m. Cost is $40 per two-person team. Proceeds will go toward the renovation of the horse shoe pits. For more information or to pre-register, call 945-2623.

Monday, Sept. 12

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.
