Friday, Oct. 24

"On Borrowed Time," a MAT production, will be showing at 8 p.m. at MSU-Northern Little Theatre, with doors and lounge open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors and Northern students get in free with I.D.

The Havre Jaycees “Haunted Hotel Oakland” will be open at 7 p.m. in the Old Hotel Oakland above the Eagles Club, 202 1st St. Admission is $5, or $4 with a nonperishable food item.  Stairs are mandatory to enter and exit the exhibit. Funds raised this year will be used to purchase coats for children in the community, as part of the annual Koats for Kids project.

"Medicine Wheel Model Youth Leadership Workshop," an event sponsored by KHEW 88.5 FM to promote Native Wellness, starts this day and runs through Sunday.  Meals will be provided.  Interested people can call 305-4225 for more information.

Saturday, Oct. 25

A children's Halloween party will start at 2 p.m. at Havre Eagles Club with food, games and a costume competition.

A LAD Project artist's meet and greet reception, with artist Kyra Cornelius, will be 2-4 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. Cornelius’ works are on display October through November in the library. The reception and show are free and the public is invited to come for a viewing.

Scare Free “Flashlight Session” at the Haunted Hotel Oakland for those who want to support the Havre Jaycees, but not be frightened, will be 3 to 5 p.m. Bring your own flashlight. Admission is one can of food. Stairs are mandatory to enter and exit the exhibit. Funds raised this year will be used to purchase coats for children in the community, as part of the annual Koats for Kids project.

Sunday, Oct. 26

Clack Museum Foundation annual membership meeting will be at 4 p.m. at the Duck Inn Vineyard Room. Entertainment will be "Campfire Stories and Songs" by Martin Holt and music by the Nerds of Notes Barbershop Quartet. Price of the dinner, $50 person, includes membership to Friends of the Clack Museum and Buffalo Jump. Tuesday, Oct. 28

Bullhook Blossoms Garden Club will meet in the Timmons Room at Hill County Courthouse at 2 p.m. The program will be given by Norma Ralph, and the hostess will be Jan Brady. New guests are always welcome. For more information, call 265-2133.

Havre Chapter #30, Order of Eastern Star will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapter Room on the fourth floor of the Masonic Temple Building, 305 3rd Ave. A Halloween party, fun, and food will follow. All Eastern Star members are invited to attend.

Wednesday, Oct. 29

A Montana Veterans Stand Down event will be held at Fort Belknap Bingo Hall 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. There will be a guest reader from the Border Patrol. The event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Tunes at Noon in the lower level of the Atrium Mall will feature live music presented by Mary Stevens.

Thursday, Oct. 30

Havre High Key Club students’ Trick or Treat for UNICEF participants will be going door-to-door collecting donations that go toward efforts to eliminate neonatal tetanus. Checks can be made payable to Kiwanis International Foundation.

Jitterbug/Line Dance Workshop, sponsored by ASMSU-Northern Program Council will begin at 7 p.m. in the college's SUB Ballroom. Jitterbug will run 7-8 p.m. and line dance 8-9 p.m. This workshop is free to anyone who wants to learn a little more about the dances.

Don't you have the Bullnanzacoming to your area soon? Sure can't find any info. on it and Havre/Hill County has a lot of cowboys.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
