Freight train hauling cars derails near Saco

BILLINGS (AP) — Ten train cars loaded with automobiles derailed in northeastern Montana over the weekend.

BNSF Railway spokesman Matt Jones tells The Billings Gazette (http://bit.ly/1fhEMl20 the derailment happened at about 8:45 a.m. Sunday near the town of Saco.

The derailed cars remained upright and no one was injured.

Jones says the derailment blocked the main rail line across northern Montana, delaying some train traffic.

The train, carrying only automobiles, originated in Illinois and was traveling to Portland, Ore.
