Thomas Murphy Walker Jr

Thomas Murphy Walker Jr., 28, of Harlem, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Wake services will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2014, at the Red Whip Center in Fort Belknap, and will continue until his funeral service, which shall be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014. Interment will be in the Pony Hill Cemetery. Tom was born on Aug. 11, 1985, in Fort Belknap to Thomas M. and Georgia (Whitecow Lodge) Walker Sr. He was raised in the Harlem area, attending school there, and graduated from Harlem High School in 2004. For several years, Tom worked both for the tribe as a carpenter and for various ranches as a ranch hand. Most recently, he worked for his uncle, Dale Walker, breaking horses.

Tom was a true outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, listening to country music and working on old cars. His true passion was spending time with his sons.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas M. Walker, Sr .; his mother, Georgia (Whitecow Lodge) Walker; his grandfather, Dallas Walker; his uncles, Alfred Lodge Jr., Clifford Lodge, Ben Lodge and Mervyn Walker; and his cousin, Josh Healy.

He is survived by his two sons, Brendan and Cordell Walker of Harlem; his brothers, Dallas, Keith and Jeremy Walker, all of Harlem; his sister, Shelby Walker of Harlem; his grandparents, Alfred and Bernadette Lodge, Sr. of Harlem and Shirley Walker of Fort Belknap; his aunts, Carolyn Healy of Fort Belknap, Amanda Lodge of Harlem, Eva (Brian Wing) Walker of Lodge Pole, Shirlene Walker of Fort Belknap, and Stella (Mitch Wing) Walker of Havre; his uncles, Leon (Deanna) Lodge of Havre, Robert Lodge of Harlem, John Lodge of Missoula, and Dale (Lorilane) Walker and Delmar (Jackie) Walker of Lodge Pole; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
