Monday, April 27

Havre High School Taste of Jazz will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the high school gymnasium, with a concert accompanied by pie and refreshments. The public is welcome to attend this fundraiser concert.

The TURF Committee will celebrate Arbor Day in a tree seedling planting session with more than 200 second-grade students from Lincoln-McKinley, Rocky Boy Elementary and St. Jude schools. The planting will begin at 9 a.m. in Pepin Park. For more information, call Chris Inman at 265-5781.

Tuesday, April 28

Bullhook Blossoms Garden Club will meet in the Timmons Room at Hill County Courthouse at 2 p.m. After a short meeting we will tour the Downtown Gardens greenhouse with Lela Patera. Laurie Sageser will serve snacks.

Water main flushing will start on the west end of 2nd Street heading east, continuing through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. For more information, call 265 4941.

Hill County Democratic Party will hold a county convention at 6:30 p.m. at the Eagles Club in Havre for the election of officers. A potluck will precede the convention at 5:30 p.m. and the regular monthly meeting will follow.

NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, will meet at the Havre-Hill County Library at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call Cindy at 265-6409.

Wednesday, April 29

Water main flushing will be occurring on 2nd Street 10 a.m. to 3 p.m ., continuing through Thursday. For more information, call 265 4941.

Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. Participants will be planting trees to take home in honor of Arbor Day. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Thursday, April 30

Have you had “The Talk” Parent class series, sponsored by The Hill County Health Consortium, will be at 6:30-8 p.m. at Northern Montana Hospital, Conference Room 4A, with the topic "Continuing the Conversation." This is a free class, and anyone interested is welcome. Parents of pre-teens and teens are encouraged to attend.

Lego Time and Robotics will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 265-2123.

Library Spring Movies will be showing "Theory of Everything" at 7 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everyone is welcome.

Saturday, May 2

Janine Harada benefit dinner will be 3 to 7 p.m. at the District 4 HRDC Dining Hall, 2229 5th Ave. Cost for the chili dinner and dessert is a free will donation. The event will include a silent auction.

Tuesday, May 5

Fossil Festival organizational meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Box Cars. Anyone interested in helping with the Labor Day weekend event is encouraged to attend. For more information, call Margie at 265-7721.

The Hi-Line Quilt Guild meets the first Tuesday of the month at the Holiday Village Mall Community Center at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, May 6

Thursday, May 7

Peggy Thune fundraiser at Pizza Hut will be all day with proceeds going toward medical expenses related to Peggy's cancer treatments. Customers just need to say that they are donating to the fundraiser and 20 percent of the receipt amount will be donated.

The Havre Middle School Bands and Jazz Bands will present their “POPS” Concert at 7 p.m. in the Middle School Assembly Room.  There is no charge for the concert, and everyone is welcome.

Monday, May 11

The North Central Hangar of the Montana Pilots Association will hold its monthly meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. in the terminal at the Havre City-County Airport.

Friends of Beaver Creek Park monthly meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
