Bullhook Blossoms Garden Club, 2 p.m., MSU-Northern Hagener Science Center, room 112. The group will tour the gardens and greenhouse on campus. Speaker is Terri Hildebrand. Guests are welcome. For info, call 265-2133.

Author Dawn Reno Langley speaking, 7 p.m., Havre-Hill County Library, about her book, “The Mourning Parade,” in which the main character’s work with an injured elephant helps her deal with grief. This program is free and open to the public.

Kicks @ 6, featuring a hot blues show, 6 p.m., Pepin Park gazebo. Free and people are welcome to bring a picnic supper.

Wednesday, July 26

New Life Drama Co. performance, 6:30 p.m., Abundant Life Ministries, 405 6th St. in Havre. The public is welcome.

Sounds on the Square, 6 - 8 p.m., Town Square. Free and people are welcome to bring a picnic supper. Swamp Goat will perform.

Books and Babies, 10:15 a.m., Havre-Hill County Library. Free, and public is welcome.

Story Time, 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Havre-Hill County Library. This week’s theme is elephants, kids should wear an old T-shirt for the painting activity. At the morning program only Dawn Reno Langley will talk about her own experience working with elephants, teach kids about the different sounds elephants make and lead fun activities. Free and open to the public.

Thursday, July 27

Outdoor Movie Night, showing “Beetlejuice,” 9 p.m., MSU-Northern Pershing Hall Courtyard. Bring a pillow, blanket and snacks. Event is weather permitting.

"25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," a Montana Actors' Theatre production, 8 p.m., MSU-Northern Little Theatre. Doors and Backstage Lounge open, 7:30 p.m. Tickets: adults, $12; students, seniors and military, $8.

Milk River Indian Days, Fort Belknap reservation, half-mile south of U.S. Highway 2 along Highway 66. Powwow grand entry, 3 p.m.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
