Allix Goldhahn, C/J-I Track

Chester-J-I freshman Allix Goldhahn made quite the splash during the girls basketball season. And now she’s doing it again in the spring. Goldhahn has been one of the top track and field athletes in the District 10C this spring, and she proved it again this past Saturday at a meet in Great Falls. She won the 100 hurdles (17.40), finished second in the triple jump (31-04) and fourth in the 300 hurdles (52.39) at the 8C-10C Preview Meet. And she’ll be a big favorite to score points at this week’s 10C District Meet.

David Denny, Havre Legion Baseball

The Havre North Stars American Legion baseball team didn’t find success in the win column on the opening weekend of their 2014 season. But veteran first baseman David Denny was in good form at the plate. In Lewistown Sunday, Denny, who graduated from Havre High in the spring of 2013, went 3-for-5 in two games against the Redbirds and also drove in a run in the second outing. Denny is a former golf standout who is in his fourth year with the North Stars’ program.
