Havre Pride showed great community spirit

Havre Pride cleanup this past Saturday was the second attempt to hold the activity — as the April date was taken over by Mother Nature and some bad weather.

To those who braved the April date ... thank you so very much for your participation. When weather plays a role in an event and a quick decision is needed to be made to let folks know about changes, our most immediate means to get the word out is the radio. And, we know we missed some of you, and we are sorry for that.

And, those folks out this past Saturday, we thank you for taking the time to help clean up Havre.

We are thankful for all the help we had for our two spring community clean ups in April and May. It is always great to see people out! As with any project, it takes many helping hands to make it happen. The Havre Pride activity is a community effort to clean up our town. The goal is to first get the community members working together to clean up our town and, second, to educate people on the subject of litter and community pride.

The mission of the Havre Pride committee is to have the cleanest town in Montana. And, with everyone helping every day of the year — not just two selected weekends each year — together we can accomplish that mission.
