2nd Annual Toy Run benefiting Have Jaycees community toy chest program. Poker run, $20, registration 8:30 a.m., start 10:30 a.m., Eagles Club, followed by a hamburger feed, live music by Blind Luck, a street dance on 3rd Avenue, and live and silent auctions.

Havre Trap Club Moonlight Shoot, 8 p.m., with meat shoots and fun shoots.

“Promoting Consent, Preventing Coercion: What You Can Do to Prevent Sexual Assault” presentation by Alan Berkowitz, Ph.D., 5 p.m., MSU-Northern SUB Ballroom.

Tuesday, Sept. 26

What To Do About Hate Activity in Your Community training, 8:30 a.m. - noon, MSU-Northern SUB Ballroom. Free and open to the public. Facilitated by Rosa Salamanca, US Department of Justice; Brendan P. McCarthy, Montana assistant US Attorney; and Jared Cobell, Indian Country tribal liason.

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration 2017 Mexican Carnival, noon - 4 p.m., MSU-Northern SUB Ballroom. Free and open to everyone. Music by Dimención Norteña, dance demonstrations, games, and food for sale.

Sunday, Oct. 1

Harvest Dinner, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., St. Jude Parish Center. General price $10, children 4-11 $5, and children 3-under free. Dinner will include turkey with traditional side dishes, pie and coffee, tea or juice.

Monday, Oct. 2

Low Income Energy Assistance Program, LIEAP, accepting applications until April 30. Apply at District 4 HRDC Energy Program, 2229 5th Ave., 265-6743. Assists low income families with a one-time energy assistance benefit.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
