Library summer program was a success

The Havre-Hill County Library Summer Reading Program was a smashing success.

We want to say thank you to our generous donors: Creative Leisure, Dairy Queen, Radio Shack, Carol Pleninger, Chris Comp, Mark Peterson, Jason Barkus, James Dahl, Tim Solomon, Havre Police Protective Association and Friends of the Library. With your contributions, we had the highest numbers we have seen in a long time.

A total of 355 people signed up for the program. Eighty-three participants completed their goal with a total of 165,066 minutes read, which is the same as 2,751 hours or 115 days.

Top readers were:

• Age 0-3 was Rosalie Barthol with 3,450 minutes

• Age 4-6 was Uriah Snyder with 2,114 minutes

• Age 7-9 was Sofia Dawson with 3,000 minutes

• Age 10-12 was Josiah Boe with 6,360 minutes

• Age 13-17 was Jeremiah Boe with 9,684 minutes.

The adult top reader was Patty Huestis with 10,980 minutes.

Thank you to everyone who participated and made our reading program a success. We hope to see you next year!
