Dustin Haas, Havre High Golf

Havre High sophomore golfer Dustin Haas is off to the kind of start this season that all golfers hope for. Haas has already won a tournament, finishing first at the Havre Golf Tournament two weeks ago at Prairie Farms Golf Course. But overall, Haas has been consistent and that’s what golf’s all about. Haas shot 36 at Prairie Farms but also fired an 84 at last Thursday’s Browning Invitational, which put him in the Top 10 for the second time already this season. Haas also competes in basketball and tennis at HHS.

Randi Gabrielsen, Havre High Golf

The high school golf season has also been good to Blue Pony junior Randi Gabrielsen. Havre’s lone returning varsity player, Gabrielsen opened the season with a stellar 89 at Meadowlark Country Club in the first round of the Great Falls Invitational last month. Overall, Gabrielsen posted a Top 25 finish in Great Falls, amongst all Class AA competitors. Gabrielsen also finished in the Top 5 at the rain-shortened Havre Golf Tournament two weeks ago and is poised to be one of the best players in the Central A Conference this season.
