Alice Georgiana Billy

ROCKY BOY — Alice Georgiana Billy, 77, of Rocky Boy died of natural causes Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, at her home surrounded by family and friends.

Wake services were scheduled to begin today, Thursday, Sept. 4, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rocky Boy, with traditional services starting at 10 a.m on Friday, Sept. 5. Burial is to follow at the Billy family cemetery overlooking the family ranch.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Alice was born to George and Rozella Gregg on Aug. 26, 1937, and married Melvin Billy Sr. of Rocky Boy on Nov. 22, 1954. Her Indian name is “Feather Woman.”

Alice enjoyed going to the Northern Winz Casino to gamble and visit with her many friends, attending rodeos, watching sporting events, doing yard work, and above all, spending time with her grand and great-grand kids.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Billy, father and mother, George and Rozella Gregg; and an infant son, Everett Samuel Billy. She is survived by her children Leslie Billy, Keith (Wanda) Billy, Frank Billy, Michelle Billy, Cameron (Cory) Billy of Rocky Boy; Twila (Terry) Grant of Big Sandy; Terrance Kim (Melody) Billy of Wolf Point; Melvin (Janice) Billy Jr. of Browning; and Shawn (Kayleen) Billy of Graybull, Wyoming; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd Billy; and two sisters, Jenny LaSalle and Mary Billy of Rocky Boy.

The family would like to thank the staff members of Northern Montana Hospital and Northern Montana Care Center for all their support. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to family and friends for all the prayers and support during the last few months of her life.
