Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Shane Ketchum, Box Elder Football

The Box Elder Bears are in the thick of the Class C Six-Man playoff race. And a 65-21 win at Heart Butte last weekend certainly helped. In that game, junior Shane Ketchum caught nine passes and scored four touchdowns to help lead the Bears to victory. Ketchum, who’s also a star distance runner at Box Elder, caught TD passes of 22, 22 and 33 yards from Brandon The Boy, and he also scored on a 47-yard run in the fourth quarter. Ketchum plays several positions for the Bears, including receiver and defensive back.

Graysen Spicher, North Star Volleyball

The North Star Knights are on a roll in volleyball. And this past weekend, the Knights swept two important District 6C East matches. Junior setter Graysen Spicher was instrumental in the wins, as she has been to the Knights all season long. In North Star’s win over Big Sandy last Thursday, Spicher had all 18 of the Knights’ assists. She came back with 20 more assists as the Knights beat Box Elder Saturday. Spicher also plays basketball and runs track and field for the North Star Knights.
