Michael Bad Hawk Jr.

Michael Bad Hawk Jr., 23, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2014, at his residence.

Wake services will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, and will continue until his transport to Frazer for burial in St. Joseph Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014. Michael was born in Wolf Point on Nov. 16, 1990, to Michael Bad Hawk Sr. and Melissa Whitford. He was raised in Wolf Point and Rocky Boy, attending elementary and junior high school in Frazer and graduating from Wolf Point High School. Michael worked for a short time after graduation at the Sherman Inn in Wolf Point, and spent a great deal of time caring for his two sons. He returned to Rocky Boy full time in 2010 and attended Stone Child College, playing basketball there. He worked odd jobs, always trying to stay outside. Most recently, he spent his time caring for his nephew.

Michael was an outgoing young man who loved to hike. He spent a great deal of time in his younger years hunting with his dad. He was a bit of a jokester and loved to make people laugh, especially when you were frustrated with him. He was everyone's friend, trying to pick up their spirits when they were down. Michael also liked cooking, working out and staying in shape. His favorite pastime was playing with his nieces and nephews. He was especially close to Constance, who was like a son to him. Michael's constant concern was the kids.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Art and Mabel Raining Bird, Leslie Four Star and Dolores Four Star; his uncles, Donovan Raining Bird and Wayne Bad Hawk; and his aunt, Ralee Raining Bird.

Michael is survived by his sons Martavis Scott Bad Hawk and Michael Scott Bad Hawk III of Texas; his adopted son Constance Bad Hawk of Rocky Boy; his parents, Melissa Whitford of Rocky Boy and Michael S. Bad Hawk Sr. of Wolf Point; his sister, Letecia Bad Hawk of Rocky Boy; his brothers, Cole Bad Hawk and Clay Bad Hawk of Rocky Boy; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
