Obituary - Patsy Jean Shelden

Patsy Jean Shelden, 65, of Havre, passed on Monday, Oct. 6, in Bozeman's Deaconess Hospital from cancer.

Patsy was born June 23, 1949, in Glasgow, Montana, to Percy and Alice Shelden, who both passed before her. She is survived by three sisters, Virginia Wells, Peggy Reum and Sally Tokarewski; and two brothers, Chuck Shelden and Barry Shelden. She adored her 10 nieces and nephews, 16 great-nieces and nephews and 5 great-great nieces and nephews. She loved to spend time with them.

She spent her childhood in Glasgow until 1960 when the family moved to Havre. She graduated high school with perfect attendance. Patsy pursued her B.A. degree in elementary education at Northern Montana College, Havre. She loved teaching at Browning and Havre Radar Base grade schools for several years. She managed the Maurice's store at the Havre mall for eight years and then 23 years at the book store at Montana State University-Northern until she retired. She was active with the Democratic Central Community for 17 years as the secretary. Patsy enjoyed traveling the Northwest and Canada watching her great nephew, Ryan Wells, race stock cars and was a co-owner of Sunset Motor Sports out of Hingham. She also loved football, baseball and basketball.

She will be missed by many, many people.
