No bomb found, Wal-Mart reopens

The Havre Wal-Mart store will reopen today after no explosive device was found on or near the store.

A 1:44 p.m. Wednesday, store personnel called 9-1-1 to report that they had received a bomb threat.

After speaking with store personnel, Hill County Sheriff's Deputies determined that the threat was legitimate. The store was closed, and customers and employees were promptly evacuated.

Officials from Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls were called to assist.

Sheriff Don Brostrom said there was a extensive search of the building, parking lot and nearby property, and no bomb was found.

At about 10:30 p.m., the store was turned back to Wal-Mart management.
